I’m John.

I’m an aquarist and the developer behind Aquarium Apps. These apps began with the frustrations I had keeping my own tanks.

Blue LED lights made beautiful aquariums difficult to photograph. Planning a new tank meant cardboard, tape, and guesswork. Following coral growth meant trying to remember how it looked weeks ago.

So I started building tools for those moments: a camera that corrects aquarium light, an AR planner, a way to build better care routines, and a time-lapse collection.

They’re separate apps with a shared purpose: helping us enjoy the aquariums we put so much into.
