Website privacy

This page describes the new Aquarium Apps website. Individual apps have their own privacy policies, available from their App Store listings.

Browsing this site

This website does not include analytics trackers, advertising trackers, or marketing cookies. Fonts, photographs, and videos are served with the website. The water effect runs in your browser and does not access your camera or microphone.

External services

App downloads open Apple’s App Store. Beta invitations for iPhone and iPad use Apple TestFlight. Those services process information under their own privacy policies. Following a link to the apparel shop opens Threadless.

Beta testing signups

When you join the beta list, we save your name, email address, chosen platforms and apps, optional device information, and signup and consent dates in our private Postgres database hosted by Neon. The website is hosted on Vercel. We use these details to select relevant testing opportunities, send invitations, and manage beta participation.

If you choose iOS / iPadOS, we may import your name and email into Apple’s App Store Connect to invite you through TestFlight. Android signups register interest in future testing. Your details are not sold or used for unrelated marketing. Only authorized maintainers can query or export the list. We retain your signup while you participate or remain interested in testing; email info@aquariumapps.com to update your details, withdraw consent, or request deletion.

To limit automated submissions, we temporarily store a keyed hash of connection information in an hourly request counter. We do not store your raw IP address in the signup database. Expired counters are removed as new signup requests arrive.

Getting in touch

If you email us, we receive the contact information and message you choose to send. We use that information to respond to your inquiry.

Website hosting

A hosting provider processes connection information, such as an IP address and request details, to deliver a website. Vercel provides hosting for this website.
